Projekt CETOCOEN UPgrade navazuje na úspěšně realizovaný projekt OP VaVpI CETOCOEN. Jeho realizace umožní další rozvoj kapacity vybudované výzkumné infrastruktury tak, aby udržela krok s rychle se rozvíjejícími vědeckými programy. Struktura projektu zůstává stejná, tedy stejné vedení a management projektu zaručující bezproblémovou interpretaci, ale i stejné výzkumné programy. tedy environmentální chemie, ekotoxikologie, fotochemie a supramolekulární chemie a proteinové inženýrství. Plánovaní investice mířií do všech těchto výzkumných skupin tak, aby podpořily jejich instrumentální zázemí a umožnily jejich expanzi do nových oblastí.
