The objective of the project is to intensify intersectoral and interdisciplinary cooperation in the framework of research into changes in the mobility behaviour of the population within the context of the development of high-speed railways in the Czech Republic. In the framework of the project a specialised platform will be created interconnecting the research organisations, entities of the application sphere and institutions of the public sphere which will comprehensively address the socioeconomic impacts of this phenomenon on society and the quality of life. The purpose of the platform is the effective exchange of experience and knowledge between individual players.
Results
The project is structured into a total of eight key activities which were selected and drawn up in accordance with the authorised activities of this call and also forms a suitable combination of activities for building intersectoral and interdisciplinary cooperation and initiation of conceptual and comprehensive research activity in the given issue. The project meets all the obligatory and obligatorily optional activities of the call and also some optional ones.
The most important activities of the project are connected with the creation of closely cooperating platforms of entities which will focus on joint research in the area of rail transport. Institutionally this platform will operate under the auspices of the Institute for Transport Economics, Geography and Politics (ITREGEP). For the implementation of the project the ITREGEP will become an independent site of MU and its main mission is and will be research in the area of transport with the interconnection of the application and scientific research sphere.
In addition to interdisciplinary and intersectoral, planned cooperation will also be of an international nature. A foreign partner will join the project and leading foreign experts will become part of the research teams. This synergy will result in a strong team which will have great potential to succeed in competitions for prestigious international grants. Of the obligatory activities, the project will implement activities leading to the deepening of international cooperation and joint preparation of project applications related to the subject of research.
As part of the optional activities of the call, activities will be implemented leading to the dissemination of the results of joint research activity and also activities which will result in the involvement of representatives of the application sphere in teaching and supervision of student work and otherwise researchers will receive professional training at partners from the application sphere.
