Telomerase, a nucleoprotein enzyme complex, plays a crucial role in the development of cellular immortality and carcinogenesis. The project is focused on using activity and expression of telomerase in molecular diagnostics of cancer. The work on the pro ject will result in providing data on telomere dynamics in cancer tissue samples, as well as in optimising diagnostic methods and their introduction in oncolgy practice.
