Teachers' Day is celebrated in honor of the birth anniversary of Iohannes Amos Comenius, the founder of modern pedagogy. This year, at the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University, we celebrate with the knowledge that we have teams introducing innovative ways to teach mathematics and applied data science to the next generation of students.

Nine young scientists from the Faculty of Science of MU were awarded Ph.D. Talent

The award ceremony and the presentation of cheques took place on March 19 in the Assembly Hall of Brno's New Town Hall, coinciding with the announcement of the Brno Ph.D. Talent. Twenty-five promising young scientists from Brno universities were awarded a cheque for CZK 360,000, which will support them over the course of three years in their doctoral studies. The Brno Ph.D. Talent Competition, funded by the City of Brno, has been organized in collaboration with the JCMM (South Moravian Centre for International Mobility) since 2009. Congratulations to all the recipients!

We celebrated the third Saturday in March with dancing!

On Saturday, 15 March 2025, the annual Faculty of Science Ball took place at Semilasso in Brno. Around 350 guests met on the dance floor, and thanks to the rich programme prepared by the Society of Natural Scientists and the Faculty of Science of MU there was certainly no shortage of entertainment.

CzecHopes - the largest Czech conference for high school students, held at the Bohunice University Campus

On the 6th and 7^th of February, the CzecHopes conference, held at the Bohunice University campus, featured a series of workshops and lectures covering not only the natural sciences but also medicine, economics, business and soft skills.
